CORE PRINCIPLES
As part of the strategic planning initiative, trustees first re-examined the organization’s core principles in March of 2003. At the group’s annual meeting in October 2008 they were revised and reaffirmed.
Core Ideology
Rotary Charities Core ideology is rooted in our Articles/Bylaws and Core Rotary Values. Our Articles and Bylaws state that we were established to benefit organizations that serve charitable, scientific, literary and educational purposes.
Core Values
Our Rotary core values are based in service to the community, with high ethical standards that respect the dignity of each individual and call for the practice of honesty, fairness, understanding, innovation and cooperation in order to improve the quality of life.
Vision
Rotary Charities and Rotary Camps & Services will be the collaborative leaders of strategic efforts to acheive positive change in the five-county Grand Traverse region.
Mission
Rotary Charities leads positive change in the region by assisting community organizations to better achieve their missions. We do this by:
- Providing resources and grants
- Providing leadership
- Providing a Management Support Organization for the nonprofit sector
- Facilitating strategic partnerships
- Promoting philanthropy
